The high efficiency Common-Slot Power Supply is a key technology in the HP Thermal Logic initiative. HP Common-Slot Power Supplies share a common electrical and physical design that allows installation in G6 server platforms that have a common-slot power supply bay. HP offers high efficient power supplies in 3 different wattages: 460W, 750W, and 1200W, which allows you to choose the right size power supply for your specific server configuration. By choosing the size that most closly matches the actual power your server is using, you get the best in efficiency and reclaim the wasted or lost power.
HP now offers a new 1200W Platinum level, 94% effeciency power supply enabling you to reclaim more power and start utitilzing it better to run more equipment with the infrastrucutre you already have. If your infrastructure uses less power, you can unlock lost capacity while also saving money. This Platinum level power supply has energy efficiency that Dell and IBM can’t beat.

Ideal for...
SMB, Enterprise, and Scaleout
- Every data center is affected by power and cooling concerns. The cost of energy needed to operate a data center can be substantial and constitue a major portion of a data center's operating costs. By using Platinum level, 94% efficient Power Supplies, computing capacity can be increased without increasing the power budget.
- Saving power at the server level enables more power and cooling savings for the entire data center. A server drawing less power will lower the energy loss of the susequent data center infrastrucuter products. In addition, cooling requirements are reduced. Less power used by the IT equipment means less heat to remove from the IT room and less power required by the cooling system.
Power monitoring
- The HP Monitored PDU provides local power display. Each PDU chassis includes two serial ports - one for local set-up and configuration and one for attachment of the optional PDU Management Module. The local user interface consists of a basic control panel that includes a two-digit 7-segment display, a recessed reset button, a scroll/invert button and 6 segment-dedicated LEDs. The optional PDU management module provides remote monitoring capabilities.
